QUAIL LICENCE AGREEMENT

Access to Quail is granted subject to the terms of the following licence.


Licence Terms

  1. The Statistical Computing Laboratory of the University of Waterloo Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, hereto called Quail developer, grants to the Licensee the right to use the Quail software system for one year starting from the date of acceptance of this agreement (indicated by selecting the ``accept'' button below ) and subject to the following conditions.
  2. Subject to conditions stated below Quail developer grants to the Licensee the use of the Quail software in machine-readable form at the designated site below. Title to all copies of the Quail software remains the property of Quail developer. No Licence is granted for the use of the Quail software at any site other than the designated site.
  3. This Licence, the Quail software, the accompanying documentation and any other information provided by Quail developer to the Licensee may not be sold, leased, assigned, sublicensed or otherwise transferred or made available, in whole or in part, by the Licensee to any third party.
  4. The Licensee shall not use the Quail software to develop commercial products or services for sale by the Licensee or other parties without written permission of the Quail developer.
  5. The Licensee shall not disassemble, decompile or modify in any way the Quail software.
  6. The Licensee shall make all reasonable efforts to notify and inform of the terms of this license any users who have access to the Licensed software.
  7. The Quail software is supplied only on the condition that Quail developer makes no warranty as to the completeness or correctness of the code; that it is understood that there may be coding or logic errors in the software. No guarantee can be made to correct errors in the software supplied or to develop the software further.
  8. At the end of one year, unless the licence is renewed, all copies of the Quail software system held by the Licensee must be destroyed by the Licensee.
